Hose connector fittings always have two function areas: 

1. The hose integration area, i.e., the part of the fitting that secures the fixation of the hose to the fitting, enabling creation of the hose line (hose + fittings).
2. The connection section through which the fitting and thus the created hose line can be connected with other elements such as containers, vehicles or other hose lines.

There are a multitude of technical solutions available for both function areas, which depend for one on the hose to be deployed (nominal width, wall thickness, wall structure) and for another on the fluid to be used regarding its chemical and physical composition (media, resistance, temperature, pressure).
